Membership Meetings
Meetings of the Arts Alliance are held the first Tuesday of each month to inform the membership of all activities, enjoy time to share with other artists and participate in mini artistic sessions. Check the Calendar of Events for specific scheduling.
Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting for the Arts Alliance of Greater Lake Mills will be held the first Tuesday in June at which annual reports are given and election of officers and board members is held. And then–Conclude the Program Year with a celebration. All members are encouraged to attend.

The Winter Series
Three winter performance events are planned at downtown locations to highlight the literary and performing artists in the Lake Mills and surrounding area.
Public Sculpture Projects
These long term Public Sculpture Projects are intended to showcase the arts and enhance the surrounding community.
“Sculptures on a Stick” – Sculptures that appear in the downtown planters throughout the summer are created by local artists and then auctioned off in the fall at the Annual Paint the Town event.
“Grist Mill Historical Fence Project”- Members of the Alliance designed a fence with historic significance that now runs between the Rock Lake/Mill Pond spillway and the road.The Celebration and Dedication took place on June 16, 2010. Many local groups and very generous private patrons financially supported this amazing project.
“Public Art Arch” – A new project is in the works for downtown Lake Mills that will be constructed between the Peterson and ReMax buildings. Anticipated completion mid- summer and dedication in September, 2012.
Sculptures for City Planters
A decorative metal sculpture was designed, reproduced, and donated for display in multiple downtown planters.
Make it and Take it Art Yard for Kids
The Lake Mills Summer Art Festival held every third Saturday in July is enhanced by the Make it and Take it Art Yard for kids organized and sponsored by the Arts Alliance.
Paint the Town
The Arts Alliance is a co-sponsor with the Main Street Program for the Annual Paint the Town event each fall.
Youth Art Grant
This is a $500 grant open to organizations and individuals for youth art programming. This grant is awarded annually. Please contact Steve Bower at mldemuth@aol.com for application and information. Deadline is October 15, 2011.
Rotating Art Work Window Displays
Members help to oversee ongoing window displays showcasing local artists at different locations in downtown Lake Mills.
PAST EVENTS
Evening with the Stars
A highly successful program of words and music, sponsored by The Arts Alliance to showcase area talent. The event was held for several springs at the Renaissance Center in downtown Lake Mills.
Paint Lake Mills Green
The Arts Alliance partnered with the Wisconsin Public Power, Inc, and Lake Mills Light and Water to create canvas shopping bags which were sold to promote a “Green Lake Mills.” A bicycle decorating contest was also held to promote the new bike racks in the downtown area and to continue the green theme around town.
Picture Lake Mills
The Arts Alliance sponsored a delightful exhibition of photographs that showcased our wonderful community and natural surroundings. Residents of the greater Lake Mills area entered images that celebrated the ordinary and the unique features about our community. Some photographs were historical while others were recently taken. All seasons of the year were featured in naturescapes and special people and places around the city.
Altered Book Exhibition
An exhibition of the “Altered and Hand Made Book” was sponsored by the Arts Alliance and was on display at the Lake Mills Public Library.
